Discover The Hidden Images

What Is the Hidden Images Collection?

It is a collection of digital paintings in which somewhere in the artwork is an image that is not easily noticed when viewing the painting from a distance. Some are even difficult to find up close.

Why are there hidden images if artwork already stimulates the mind?

This takes my artwork one step further by introducing a form of interaction with the art itself. For example, you have already discovered the hidden images of a piece that is helping to beautify a wall in your home and a guest stops to view it.  You mention that there is an image hidden in the piece and wonder if they can find it? After a while you are asked to give them a hint. You tell them that it has to do with a cat and a mountain. They find it and feel the fun as if having had the correct answer in a discover and search game.  This process is not only fun but also a form of good mental exercise.

Lily Pond At Cat Mountain Stream

The hidden image is a cat looking at a miniature mountain range.

Face The Sun

Notice that here there is one face that is not that much hidden and makes it a quick find.  However, this is not the hidden image.  There is a second face that is more difficult to find.  This piece is about an older woman working in her garden who is reflecting on her younger years and it is her younger face that is the hidden image to be found.

Monkey Sun

In this piece the name gives the hint. But not all titles in this collection will make it this easy.

Snake Head Sun

The seed head of the sunflower has a snake's head on it.

Sun Catcher

The clouds in the sky resemble the face from that of the Phantom of the Opera.

Sunflowers Of Kimsterena

On a distant planet where the sunflowers burn bright like sun flowers, a face appears in the floral flames of one of the alien plants.
